Ric Bucher & Chris Townsend New Hosts For Afternoon Drive Show on 95.7 The GAME



Veteran Bay Area Sports Personalities Will

Be Heard Weekday Afternoons 3:00-7:00 pm

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – 95.7 The GAME (KGMZ-FM), The Bay Area’s New Sound for Sports, today announced new hosts for afternoon drive.   Longtime Bay Area natives Ric Bucher (@RicBucher) and Chris Townsend (@TownsendRadio), will be heard weekday afternoons 3:00-7:00 pm, effective December 3, 2012.

“Ric & Chris are two of the best sports personalities on the radio and with their deep local roots covering Bay Area teams, I have no doubt that sports fans will be thoroughly entertained every weekday afternoon,” said Jason Barrett, Program Director of 95.7 The GAME.

Featured weekly guests in Afternoon Drive on 95.7 The GAME include San Francisco 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke, Oakland Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen, 2012 MLB General Manager of the Year Billy Beane of the Oakland Athletics, 2012 NL MVP Buster Posey & Matt Cain of the San Francisco Giants, and Golden State Warriors Forward David Lee.

Bucher, a 20-year Bay Area native, joined 95.7 The GAME for Afternoons in September, having previously served as a Bay Area-based NBA Reporter for ESPN’s SportsCenter and NBA studio shows, as well as Senior Writer covering professional basketball for ESPN The Magazine.

In addition to his hosting duties, he is currently the Golden State Warriors Sideline Reporter and NBA Insider for Comcast SportsNet.

Townsend, a 14-year Bay Area native, previously hosted The Pulse and The Chris Townsend Show, as well as the pre-game Dugout Show & post-game A’ Talk shows on 95.7 The GAME.  He replaces Brandon Tierney, who plans to relocate back to New York City.
