Entercom Reaffirms Original Guidance Overcoming Impact of Katrina During Third Quarter

September 21, 2005 (Bala Cynwyd, PA): Entercom Communications Corp. (NYSE: ETM) today announced an update to its net revenues guidance for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Despite the impact of Hurricane Katrina, the Company expects to report an increase of approximately 3% for third quarter same station net revenues, which includes operating results of the Company's radio stations in New Orleans. The Company also expects to record a significant operating expense as a reserve against New Orleans accounts receivables due to the impact to the local business economy.

Entercom's WWL-AM has been widely recognized for the critical role it has played before, during and after Hurricane Katrina. The team at the Company's stations has provided an invaluable resource of news and emergency information for the Gulf Coast community.

Following Hurricane Katrina and resulting flooding, Entercom and Clear Channel Communications joined their stations and staff in New Orleans and pooled resources for the emergency broadcast of news and information to the Gulf Coast. This partnership was established as The United Radio Broadcasters of New Orleans or URBNO, with studios in the Jefferson Parish Emergency Operations Center and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Currently, Entercom is simulcasting the URBNO news feed on five of its six stations in New Orleans. The Company anticipates returning to its downtown broadcast operations and studio facilities and resuming normal programming formats on its FM music stations in the near future.

In commenting on the quarter and the situation in New Orleans, the Company's President and CEO, David J. Field, stated: "I am amazed by the indefatigable spirit and commitment of our team at Entercom New Orleans. The staff is working tirelessly to assist and inform the people of New Orleans and The Gulf Coast and will play a key role in the revitalization and rebuilding of the New Orleans market. We remain dedicated to helping our business partners rebuild and reconnect their brands with this great city in the near future."

In recent weeks Entercom's 104 radio stations have been active in on-air and community fundraising efforts for victims of Katrina with over $1 million raised thus far for relief efforts and organizations in the Gulf Coast.

The Company has also established an Entercom New Orleans Employee Relief Fund, initiated with a corporate donation by Entercom of $250,000. Through additional contributions by employees and friends of the Company, the fund is now approaching $500,000. The general public and business partners are invited to make tax-deductible contributions to the relief fund. Check donations should be make payable to:
