Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years experience. They must also understand that producing a sports-talk show is about more than just running a board and cutting up audio. It’s about working with talent to get the best out of them. It’s about finding creative ways to put together an entertaining show every day. It’s about embracing digital technology and using it to grow ratings and revenue.

Knowledge of Audio Vault, NewsBoss, and Adobe Audition is a plus. Basic web skills required.

Promotions Assistant
Part-time NewsRadio 980 KMBZ & 610 Sports Radio KCSP

• Coordinating all on-air prizes, contest giveaways and sponsorships;

• Maintaining contest files and account balance for on-air contesting;

• Coordinating all street marketing activities including but not limited to driving station van to events, setting up station tent, hanging banners, and coordinating interactive activities with listeners;

• Assisting in maintaining and updating station website;

• Keeping contest files and prizes organized;

• Assisting in planning and implementing station events;

• Assisting in the development of sales promotions and events;

• Assisting in copy writing, proposals and client recaps;

• Serving as liaison between the listener and the radio station.

• Must be 21 years or older to drive station vehicles.

The successful candidate should possess:

• Strong computer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe PhotoShop. Knowledge of HTML language a plus.

• Strong communication skills. Ability to interact with people in a positive way in both written and spoken word.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and early mornings as needed.

• Keen organizational and time management skills.

• College degree in communication, marketing or media relations preferred.

Account Manager
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Responsible for selling commercial air time and event sponsorships for local businesses on Entercom’s 4 radio stations
2. Responsible for advertising campaign development including: Strategic marketing concepts, radio script development, promotional idea generation by coordinating the marketing and promotions people and resources available at Entercom.
3. Project Management of the execution of all advertising and promotional campaigns sold.
4. Develop and/or increase client base through prospecting, cold calls, client presentations.
5. Supervise collection of accounts receivables within a reasonable period of time for campaigns sold.
6. Represent Entercom in a highly ethical and professional manner.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in outside sales and media sales required.
3. Must be highly motivated, and able to work independently.
Compensation:
Negotiated guaranteed salary for training period of 3 months. Then a draw plus commission pay structure. Benefits package that includes health care, vacation, sick pay and 401(k)
